Flies and jelly fish

With all this beautiful weather (haahaa), we having been struggling to find a moment t0 leave the windows open at home …. Why is it that flies … blue bottles or the common house fly, immediately come in the house and fly round in circles endlessly. At least bees and wasps have the brains to bang into the windows in a bid to escape. It made me think of when I was diving last year and watched a trio fo fish nibbling on a jellyfish…

What is your time worth?

Have you noticed how the same messages appear in your life over and over? I have been so busy this year – what a great experience so many opportunities from my book launch to speaking engagements, coaching clients, mentees and people wanting me to build their portfolios for them. Read More

The devil is in the detail

This has never been more true than with the sex of my kitten. When I collected Mischief I was (I thought) reliably informed that she was a female. Having just returned from the vets this afternoon – it is clear that everyone was wrong! Read More

Can you be over focused?

I have often described myself as having OCD with a touch of ADHD in that I am very focused until I get distracted! It certainly does not come easily, which is possible why the distractions do come easily haahaa

Just recently I took possession of two new kittens – Mum 9 months called Minnie (because she is really a big mouse) and her baby 12 weeks called Mischief (who is actually more like Mayhem!!).

I dawned on me the other day as I drove home from a property event that I had been speaking at that I was planning all the work I could catch up on. I wasn’t think about spending time with the kittens.

What is the point of being entrepreneurial, creating a passive income so that I don’t have to work and then filling my time to the exclusion of family and kittens?

It’s not the first time and obviously something I need to pay attention too – I nearly said focus on.

The trouble with focus is that it is a “one thing only” kind of action Focus on One Course Until Successful but what about the journey – enjoying the view – spending quality time.

It’s a difficult balance to strike. Some people only get the lesson when they become ill or worse family members become ill.

Who do you need to spend more quality time with – are you feeling balanced or “over focused”?

Curly or straight – is branding important

My hair is both a blessing and a bind. It is curly and I am very grateful for that. Over the years it has saved me thousands of pounds in either straighteners or perms depending on current fashion. But I had also become complacent and boring as I always went to the same hairdresser for the same cut and highlights. Read More

Is Presentation or Content more important in marketing?

I have been really aware lately just how much effort some companies are putting into the presentation of their sales offer and wondered whether the presentation or the content was more important. I know that while I am attracted by presentation if the content fails to meet expectation then I am quite unforgiving, compared to a service for which I had no expectations. Read More

How responsible are you?

I live off a busy main road and periodically there are bad crashes as people take the corners too fast – so we get used to the road being closed. Last week I was on my way out to post some of my books  for an Amazon order when I realised the road must be closed again. Read More
