How taking a holiday can help
I have asked this question before – are you struggling for ideas or dazzled by the opportunities that seem to be presenting themselves on every corner? I believe it is a really important question. If you are struggling for ideas – for clarity in your business or a way to increase your financial freedom – I believe that you will find it is because you are not spending enough time thinking about your business. Alternatively if you are dazzled by opportunities, maybe even overwhelmed – unsure which way to turn – then that maybe because you lack a clear vision for your business and a clear reason for doing it. The Ebook is coming :)

This has been sooooo difficult and yet so simple …. what a strange experience! As some of you know I had a chance email from my Ecademy profile inviting me to contribute to a new Ebook called 378 Predictions for doing business in 2010. What a simple idea (thought I!). I realised that one of my longer term hopes had been to write a book.

Tom EvansI took a brilliant series of classes with Tom Evans -The BookWright back in 2008 I think. Anyway I shelved the idea as the buzz of property investing took me by storm. Now here I am with three chatpers in the bag and five more to be recorded today. It has been so easy because I am doing what I love best …..

Want to hear more?

During the first six weeks of 2010 I have spoken in front of 620+ property investors. On Wednesday 17th February I am going to be speaking again – this time at the Harlow Property Meet, run by Gary Shaw.
I am going to be covering three topics; The Edge - whether it is a Slight Edge,  an Entrepreneurial Edge or just the Edge of success, our thoughts and actions determine our success – how I have achieved my goals in just 18 months;

Cashflow is king – I will demonstrate my thinking around my investment strategy and why I chose the strategy that I did. So many people want to understand how to get started and understand cashflow is critical.

Lastly The Tenant is your asset, understanding where value lies in your portfolio or business is critical. I have been listening to Robert Kiyosaki and His new book the Conspiracy of the Rich. With current news like the bail of Greece hot on the tails of the fall of Dubai – we are living in unprecedented times. Understanding the implications of the economy on your businesses is vital to success.

I look forward to seeing you there – please check out this link to find details of the location and map :)

Look forward to seeing you all

To our mutual success, wealth and happiness

Could I help you like I helped Sukhy?

Vicki - BPM Jan2010Last Monday I spoke at the Berkshire Property Meet for the first of two appearances, I was honoured to share the stage with the Dr Rohan Weerasinghe and of course the great hosts Juswant and Sylvia Rai. I talked about my experiences as a new property investor over the last eighteen months. How I had set my goals, educated myself, been determined and adaptable over that time. I listened to lots of experienced investors including Rohan, Rob Moore, Phil Martin, Simon Zutshi, Mark Dalton, Sean Thomson and many others.

In January of last year I asked Vanish Patel a question from the audience and received invaluable feedback and information, armedVicki BPM Jan2009 - Vanish helps with that I approached a number of banks and secured myself a personal commercial arrangement. This enabled me to buy property essentially for no money down – well that’s not exactly true …. I bought them for cash and then quickly remortgaged them to full market value enabling the release of the equity. The bank knew this and was happy, a legal NMD system.

On Monday evening, I spend two hours answering questions from people in the audience at the BPM, about how I did that. They were focused on the detail and with due respect I feel missed the wider point. I asked questions, I ACTED on the information I received. One lady contacted me through Facebook and below is the subsequent conversation (with Sukhy’s permission) that I hope may help others……

What a week :)

I have finally returned home after an amazing week “jet-setting” round the UK . In the last seven days I have partied, networked, driven hundreds of miles, bought a four bed house and 2 bed flat, expanded my mind, had great food, hugged, smiled, danced, and chatted to amazing property investors and entrepreneurs … Read the rest of this entry

Batten down the hatches

Its all bad news again apparently … bad weather all over the weekend … pensions not going to sustain us in our old age … nights are drawing in and we all miss the sun … just over postal strikes but still facing BA Christmas strikes …
its enough to make a sane person burst … all I see are opportunities and good news …. Read the rest of this entry

Avoiding the madding crowd

Today has been a wonderful and complete day - a mixture of personal development, great networking, amazing insights, deeper love for my family, and fireworks :) (well it is that time of year hee hee).

I started the day at Chris Howard Breakthrough to Success, it was brilliant to go back to the event and mix with amazing people … some old friends, crew mates and of course meet new people. As we don’t live that far from Hammersmith I asked Bob to drive me there and collect me in the evening to avoid parking. Around 6pm I received a text that suggested we head off to Battersea to see the fireworks – excellent idea.

While we were not too far, we had not accounted for the enormous volume of traffic !! London once again at its best … grid locked :) Bob expertly navigated his way through the jams but time was racing on and we found ourselves still on the north side of the river when the show started. What brillliant luck … we had a slow moving, warm and dry seat that enabled us to see the fireworks in all there glory.

In past years we have gone to the park – stood in the cold – peered through the smoke :) and even been rained on … this year we avoided the crowds. Although by accident ,it reminded me that following the crowds does not always produce the best results, sometimes taking a different view point can makes things clearer :)

All round a great Autumn, fireworks with friends and family, fireworks in the warm, foggy mornings, clear days and some brilliant rain storms – I love it :)

What did you do for fireworks or Halloween?
