NLA, IOD, BofE, BR and other stuff

I went to my first National Landlords Association (NLA) lecture last night at the Institute of Directors (IOD), organised by MaryAnn Richmond-Coogan and her team. What a great bunch of speakers, from experienced landlords, to a representative of the Bank of England and a wise tax and financial planner and that doesn’t even mention the audience! Isn’t it interesting how people react to the way you present yourself to them? Consider how a great actor can be a very pleasant, positive character in one film and yet ooze menace and hostility in another. In other words, we take people as they present themselves to us. What good customer service will achieve

I always feel a build-up of excitement at the prospect of flying somewhere for a break. I make my living in property investment and I really feel that it is in my blood, but, even I need a break from time to time! I have had just the funniest series of email chats with Georgina Lester about being busy. We have been “trying” to meet up to talk about social media. I have been out speaking at property events and busy writing my new book and Georgina has been busy developing her new social media business. Georgina wrote that she had had to come to terms with not being a four brained octopus with enough fingers to match. Read the rest of this entry
