Remember the saga of my phone is dead well I have been rescued from the brinks of despair … while chatting to a business colleague they told me of the story of their Blueberry. It had a cracked screen and the suppliers were going to charge £200 to repair the cracked screen.

He very cleverly went on line to Ebay and found someone selling spare parts for £7 including postage (from Japan!). The only difficulty was how to do the repair, so his colleague suggested that they check the web again and low and behold ! A You Tube video on home repairs to broken screens!! Well who said you can never find anything you want on the web (oh that would be me !). One happy customer – could there be a lesson in this for me??

Yes! So taking on this lesson, I sit myself down at the laptop, search Ebay for Nokia 6310is and to my utter amazement the site is full of them. How exactly would madam like her phone? Silver “no of course not Black and Gold please”, would madam prefer recondition or new?  ”Well given the price difference I would be mad not to buy new!”

£66.99 later including postage I am the proud owner of a brand new Nokia 6310i!

Original box, battery, new phone and charger!! Woo hoo! :)

How happy am I????? It really is the simple things in life that give one so much pleasure! Who needs to take photos with their phone (that’s what cameras are for), I don’t need a poly-what’s-it ring tone I like the reassuring sound of “diddle er der, diddle er der, diddle er der!” :)

With the pace of technology it will only be a matter of time before your phone can have a chat to your microwave and cook your dinner for you for when you walk in the door! And who wants that? Gillian McKeith will be turning in her grave :)

Now I have my new phone and all I have to do is re-enter my numbers (saved to the sim this time!). If you ask nicely I will show it to you and may even let you hold it briefly. I am torn as to whether to include the link to the brilliant company that made me so very happy or with hold it in case you all rush out and buy their stock. I then decided that in six or seven years from now when I need my next new phone, I won’t need a Nokia 6310i because I won’t be able to get reception on my yacht in the Red Sea anyway :)

A Big thanks to Executive Tools www.executivetools.co.uk you have made me a very happy woman :)
